I've just found out that there are actually Droknars Run races being held, with 6 runners competing against eachother for the fastest Droks run, each pitching in 5K, winner take all.

Me and several other who heard this immediately said "Wow, I'd pay 5K just to spectate that!".

Anet, here is a sport waiting to be invented!

My suggestion: Create a copy of the Droknars Run area, and hold a spectatable tournament/event, with a nice price for the fastest run!

I'm wondering how that would work as it is considering "Charge!" effects nearby allys.

I'm either way on this idea.

Hmm, if this could be done UMS-style (those who have played starcraft and warcraft know what I'm talking about), so that normal game rules do not apply and it does not count toward the actual state of the game, just openable as a seperate map and race where the players are not necessary allied and remain invincible to one another, it would be a fun thing to do. The same is true with dodgeball. However, I think there are more important things on Anet's mind and I don't see this being implemented as it would take incredible amounts of work for this new game mode. It would surely be fun for a lot of people, but I think that reconnects should be a slightly higher priority ^^.

well what parts are we talking about here are we talking beacons to droks cause how would this work with the zones and stuff someone could get to every zone first but not droks first. or is this say like camp rankor to droks. neat concept but so many variables. would be nice to know were the start point and end point would be though.

The "Ref" should impliement a time in here, either each runner is allied with a ref spectates the runner, timing him. that way shouts like charge and body blocking wouldnt be a problem. after all the runner complete the task at hand, the refs get together in ID2 or something and chat with all the runners. Displaying the winner that way. You could even fraps them and post them on here.

Other idea, all 6 runners ally up with a ref, and the "leader" dosnt warp through a portal, but sits waiting till everyone reaches it. the ref has timers for all 6 runners, the runner with the smallest time wins the race.
